Deep Sands
We have been members through Ridgecrest for I THINK a couple of years
now. Since we are mainly involved in endurance, and our primary show
horses are either retired or in horsey heaven, we have concentrated now
on producing a handful of good athletes to replace those we have lost.
We breed our now 21 straight Egyptian stallion to our good Fadjur,
Raffon and one polish mare(s); in 2003 our daughter added the BEAUTIFUL
and well bred Spanish-Fadjur stallion Fad Spanish Lover into the mix for
incredible results! We are planning to keep both his stunning black son
and his exotic bay filly, but may offer him to outside mares in 2007.
Our senior stallion, Salazar SF, has proven himself in the show ring
(Qualifying for Nationals as a young fellow, and cleaning house in the
exciting Cal Circuit as a 17 year old!; also sports a 96% completion
rate in endurance, AND has 22 RHR and 8" bone) and will be offered to
LIMITED APPROVED mares in 2007. We are currently booking for the coming
season. Sal is blue list, al Khamsa, Heirloom-El Dereei, Straight
Egyptian and so is a tremendous asset to any breeding program dedicated
to preserving the best of the Arabian of antiquity. We DO limit his
book, given his age, but good mares are welcome to call!
We have been competing and breeding since 1977 and continue to breed only what is desired or needed each year. Our horses are bred and trained for top notch temperament, Arabian style and superb athletic ability - as the true Arabian should be. We relocated to Bear Valley Springs in 2005 and are happily awaiting two Sal babies in 2007. Visitors welcome - please call for gate pass! For more information visit our web page, Deep Sands 2006
